Welcome to Val Marie and the Grasslands!
Robert Harwood, “Val Marie after Rain”
Val Marie is the home of Grasslands Gallery. We live in a village of about 130 people located a few kilometers from the Canada/U.S. border in Saskatchewan’s great southwest. In addition to being home of Grasslands Gallery, Val Marie is the Gateway to Grasslands National Park. The village offers comfortable accommodations, good food, a friendly grocery store with many specialty items and a wine/beer/spirits vendor, a delightful summer season ecomuseum with an espresso bar and gift shop including one of Saskatchewan’s last independent bookstores, and many other surprises.
