Bobbi Clackson-Walker is a mixed media artist from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Her practice is based in printmaking, collage, encaustic, and glass collage/assemblage. These the materials and processes enable her to explore and express her deep appreciation for the natural history and quiet beauty of the prairies.
“I have lived in Saskatchewan my entire life, and its pull and influence are evident in the visual record I create of the environment that surrounds me. This series of small monoprint encaustic wax collages with their light-filled distant horizons convey the sense of place and the ‘long lonesome’ that is part of the experience of being resident here.“
Bobbi has an extensive list of solo, group, and mentored exhibitions from the span of her twenty-year practice. Her artworks are in collections in the United States, Great Britain, the Bahamas, and across Canada.
