Trevor McDonald’s abstract painting brings a sense of the beauty of non-representation to Grasslands Gallery Online. In his current work, Trevor explores the marks of age that tell stories of formations and foundations both natural and human-made. Raised on the family farm at Lacadena, Saskatchewan, his experience of working outdoors in the openness of land and sky influenced his artwork. And when Trevor McDonald began to explore abstract painting, it developed into a way for his viewers to feel as much as see the composition. He has previously shown with galleries in Calgary and Edmonton and his work is in corporate and private collections in Canada and abroad. Trevor now lives and paints in Saskatoon.
