In an ongoing project, artists Betsy Rosenwald and Dawna Rose create bird paintings in response to research showing that almost three billion birds are gone, vanished from North America since 1970. Though the subject might be seen as critical, instead Betsy and Dawna use laughter and understanding to animate our response. This video about their joint project “2.9 Billion Birds Gone”was originally seen on SaskTel maxTV Local on Demand and has garnered hundreds of views.
