Laureen Marchand lives in Val Marie, Saskatchewan, just north of the Montana border at the gateway to Grasslands National Park. Inspired by this region’s subtlety and remoteness, her paintings reflect on our ideas about and awareness of beauty. In 2021, in response to changes that meant artists’ work wasn’t being see, Laureen created Grasslands Gallery Online, Saskatchewan’s only fully online commercial art gallery.
